Recovery

These documents do not activate a customer contract or certify compliance. Your storage sign-in establishes access to your provider. It does not replace Kintwined’s content decryption keys. A new device needs an existing trusted device or saved recovery code.

Keep the recovery code securely somewhere separate from the device. Anyone who obtains the code and the corresponding encrypted vault may gain access. Lost Meteor has no recovery backdoor and must not request the code.

If every trusted device and the recovery code are lost, encrypted content may be unrecoverable. Store purchase restoration cannot decrypt it. Export readable copies deliberately and protect them; exports have their own privacy and retention risks.
